WinNBI and WinPLUS

WinNBI

WinNBI (Windows Network Based Interface) is Osai’s new interface created with the network. It is possible to have a “user friendly” and graphic oriented operator interface that can be customised using a mouse to "Point & Click" and "Drag & Drop". The big advantage is that there is no need for any Windows programming knowledge. It is possible to create customised system process screens just by inserting elementary objects such as: axes position, Feed, Speed, G, M, T, functions with the possibility of modifying fonts and colours.

In this way you can create different screens, and each of them can be matched with one or more processes according to the specific requirements of the application. Further more, based on COM/DCOM technology oriented to distributed architecture, WinNBI can interface with different CNCs and be distributed in different points of the factory network.

WinPLUS

Together with WinNBI we would like to introduce WinPLUS, the new tool to develop the machine logic in Windows environment, in accordance with IEC 61131-3 standard. It offers a graphic editor in different colours according to the syntax of the different programming languages that can be used (ST, LD, FB, SFC), a wide range of instruments for the debugging like for example “Tracing”, the management of the “break points”, with the possibility of stopping the execution of each single task without stopping the execution of the others, “watch” windows to visualise and force the value of the variables and it is possible to visualise the transitions of the LD, FB, SFC.

The CAM onboard machine tools

Nowadays, the machine tools market more and more requires to integrate the CNC into the production cycle to display the user the most number of information to work in safety, to achieve higher performance in the working set-up procedure and to increase the quality. Besides it is now fundamental to distribute the Know-how acquired on the single machine.

To achieve these targets it is necessary to receive the information (technological and geometrical) from the CAD/CAM chain and to update such information according to the feedback coming form “the field”. All that requires to have “a powerful brain” inside the CNC which allows to execute the working cycles and therefore to have a CAM integrated in the CNC connected to the factory LAN. The OSAI 10 Series CNC are the best solution offering a Windows environment integrated into the CNC Front End, where all the CAM functionality are integrated; in addition it is able to execute complex cinematic algorithms producing part program by points or by polynomial functions and is finally able to execute a complete simulation of the programs generated.

With the new DIGICAD, you have the possibility to acquire the profiles of parts to be de-burred and finished, using a procedure where the user stores the points of the profile moving the tool axis to the desired position: manually in auto-teaching or through automatic probing cycle. All integrated into the WinNBI.
