    OS3 Drives

OS3 Drives can be connected directly to the three phase power supply and accept a level of voltage with nominal value between 380 and 480 V c.a.

This special aspect allows the application in geographic locations with different voltages, with no need for a transformer to adapt the voltage level.

The drives have got an internal power supply for the control boards, that receive energy directly from the three-phase. This solution allows the braking of the load under control in case of a power cut. The electronic group will still be able to be powered directly form an external power supply, supplying 24 V.

During the braking phase, the stored energy is dispersed through an internal braking resistor. For extremly intence work cycles it is possible to connect an external or parallel resistor instead of an internal one. The high voltage bus can be accessed through a connector, that allows the use of an external power supply, that includes a braking resistance common to more than one drive.

Motors of different technologies can be managed: brushless with permanent magnets, asyncronus motors, reluctance variable motors. The standard transducer is SinCos encoder. The programmable I/O increase the drive's flexibility.

OS3 is available in 6 different power sizes starting form a minimum of 3.5A of nominal current (2.5W) to reach 30A (21kW).

    Tuning Software for OS3

The auto-recognition of the connected motor and the software setting for Windows allow the tuning operations to be less complex .With this instrument it is possible to visualise the drive's and motor's data, analyse the drive's status through diagnostic pages.

Either with automatic or manual tuning it is possible to adapt the gain of the loops to control the load. With the introduction of digital filters it is also possible to compensate the mechanical resonance.

For motors that have a brake it is possible to regulate the intervention time. To analyse the details of the machine behaviour a configurable oscilloscope is available.
