Digital Axes Control (DAC) The family of DAC (Digital Axes Control) drives represents technologically advanced products designed for industrial applications and, in particular, for axis handling. The converter is the monolithic, fully digital DAM module. The converter is available in two models and 5 sizes:
The last 4 digits indicate the maximum current output (continuous/peak) in ARMS. When combined with the DS series motors, they develop a maximum torque of 57 Nm at 2000 RPM. The converter module includes the power unit, and a drawer that contains the electronic unit. The external connectors are of the D or Weidmüller type or power terminals. The power for the motor is controlled by IGBT modules. Direct connection to three-phase network, 400 VAC. It requires an external 24Vdc power supply, for the electronic unit. Built-in current limiter for precharging the capacitors. The motors used are DS series, synchronous motors with a rare earth permanent magnet without a fan. The position transducer is a resolver. DS MotorsGeneral InformationThe DS series motors are synchronous, with an internal permanent magnet having a 6-pole field winding. They require no maintenance. The magnetic material is of the "rare earth" type. The winding is designed for sinusoidal electromagnetic force, and uses a bus voltage of between 540 and 750 Vdc. Characteristics
