CNC controller is same size as an operator panel

Osai has added a dedicated controller for three axes and a spindle drive to its range of CNC controllers. The model 10/110 controller is intended for applications such as three-axis routers, lathes and grinders.

Because it is an integrated module, it takes up less control cabinet space and requires less wiring time, Osai says. The module includes a 26cm colour display, an operator console and 72 local I/O. Extra, distributed I/O modules can be linked using high-speed optical fibres.

The controller is based on standard PC architecture to simplify commissioning and programming. An Ethernet communication channel is available to simplify the transfer of data between the CNC and PCs. This link can also be used for monitoring and troubleshooting.
