Winmedia

OSAI is proud to present the new intelligent operator panel "WinMedia". In addition to the performance that is expected from a high performance Panel-PC, "WinMedia" is a great visual and tactile ergonomic innovation of the machine operator interface.

Winmedia Panel With Microsoft Windows™ Embedded XP multi-language pre-installed, the preferred language can be chosen from the 23 options available, without needing to re-install the operating system. In this environment, WinNBI, the new OSAI operator interface, becomes very important.

With a standard interface for the CNC and with the development and set-up tools provided, WinNBI provides "user friendly" management of the CNC with complete integration into the operator panel.

To match all the functions normally required of a CNC, OSAI presents a new operator console that can be connected to the CNC through its new proprietary digital bus OS-WIRE® or through the standard CANopen interface.

The combination of WinMedia and Operator Console brings an innovative image and homogeneity to the CNC front end. The possibility to customise the console buttons with industry standard parts (the electrical interface to the CNC is included within the console), gives the flexibility to configure the whole operator interface to different types of application.

WinNBI

Using the WinMedia combined with the WinNBI (Windows Network Based Interface), the OSAI's new Windows™ network based interface, It is possible to use the "user friendly" graphical interface, customisable with the mouse and "Point & Click" and "Drag & Drop" techniques without needing Windows™ programming knowledge.

WinNBI allows the creation of customisable process screens. Starting with the insertion of basic objects like axes positions, Feed, Speed, G, M, T functions and progressing through to modifiable fonts and colours different screens can be constructed. Each of these screens can be matched to one or more processes according to the requirements of the particular application.

As WinNBI is based on COM/DCOM technology aimed at distributed architectures, it can interface with different CNCs located in different parts of the factory.
