Fieldbus Support
Industrial Automation field management increasingly requires control systems which can unite effective network and component integration with quick and easy commissioning. Both INTERBUS and CANOPEN are standard features on the 10 Series controls.
INTERBUS and CANopen are both supported in the 10/Series CNC. With the new line of modular RIO I/O devices and many other readily available industry standard devices, both installation and maintenance have been made very easy.
Each bus offers distributed Input/Output modules for a flexible field management. The fieldbus systems are based on a high-speed serial connection system using a single transmission protocol to connect control hosts and input/output units, which in turn have actuators and sensors connected.
The use of this system makes it possible to choose from a wide range of components, ensuring extreme simplicity in terms of planning, programming, installation and diagnostics.
Installation and cabling can be optimised due to the modular structure of the devices: building block modules are easily assembled into a single functional unit by simply plugging them onto a DIN rail, allowing a significant reduction in wiring operations including the bus connection, power supply, safety circuits, potential groups and fuses.
Many different module types are available typically covering digital I/O, analogue I/O, high speed counters, PTC temperature monitoring to name but a few.
